Spring blooms! Tulips, Tulips, Tulips!

Well those of us that live in southern Ontario just enjoyed a few days of 'a taste of spring'. The reality is though, being Canadian, we are well aquainted with spring 'teasers' and know all to well that there is still a possibility of even a snow storm in March! But for a short time the sun was warm and if you looked real hard in your gardens, you might have even notice a few of those bulb flowers beginning to peak their heads up out of the soil. Spring weddings excite me for a few reasons. Obviously it is the start of another busy year doing what I love.. but also it is a reminder of newness, of life and of renewal. I am always amazed how the brown dead grass soon becomes lush and green, how the spring bulbs that lay dormant in the frozen earth rise again with newness of life. To me, it is a reminder of a Creator who is was the ultimate 'designer'! Enjoy the pictures of one of our previous spring weddings at Eagles Nest Golf Club. The ceremony and reception where held in the same room so it was up to us to create a warm intimate atmosphere for the ceremony while hiding the remainder of the room. We created a room within a room with walls of white sheer which was a sharp backdrop for our beautiful fresh tulips that marked the aisle and created the focal point for the ceremony. Later when the walls were torn down to reveal the dinner setting, the ceremony urns were placed behind the head table. Keep checking back as I will be posting some weddings in April.
