All the things that I love... fresh flowers, pretty pastures, the beauty of horses, and of course a sweet wedding. We were thrilled to be planning the decor and flowers for this beautiful countryside wedding in Caledon, just north of Toronto. Liz and David tied the knot on their incredible country side horse farm. Now I have to tell you that this is no ordinary horse farm.. and I ought to know since David and I live on a small humble one ourselves. I can tell you one thing for sure.. our barn doesn't look a thing like theirs! The couple breed and race thoroughbred horses and are owners of some on Ontario's finest! In planning the decor and flowers with Liz, it was thought best to have flowers that complimented the breathtaking property. Simple, classic but unique. Classic french urns filled with orchids, roses, hydrangeas and mums, were used for the wedding ceremony decor. Guest witnessed the vows on the patio and enjoyed an evening of dancing under the stars. The rural areas north of Toronto are home to some of the finest horse farms in the country and I was pretty stoked to do the flowers and decor on this one!

Stylish Winter Wedding Ideas... Muskoka Inspired Flowers And Decor! {Toronto Muskoka Wedding Decor}
Now I know spring is just around the corner and its fair to say that the Canadian winter is not the most comfortable time to plan a Winter Wedding Stlye shoot but what better time to inspire brides with winter inspired decor and flowers! As the snow fell, on a farm just north of Toronto, the design team at Rachel A. Clingen created this fabulous winter wedding style shoot. The very talented and sweet Dee from Purple Martini Photography embraced our ideas (and the cold) and captured the essence of winter with these incredible images. The beauty of birch logs catch your eye in the plexi glass stands, hinting a Muskoka feel. The warmth of cotton is a winter tradition so we decided to reflect this in the flowers and decor. The brides bouquet had soft cotton ball accents with white peonies, stock, and ranunculus flowers, finished with a band of silver birch bark. Whimsical cotton branch centrepieces alongside white mum flowers, gave warmth to the chic plexiglass head table . Crystal snowflake accents and chrome lanterns all add to the icy look decor. Special thanks to our models Caleb and the very beautiful Hailey. Paper Damsels did a fabulous job on coordinating stationary and totally captured my vision. Thank you also to Noah Brown for the brides dress and birdcage veil. A very special thank you to our crew who laboured tirelessly in the bitter cold and Jessy my right hand manager and friend for supporting another one of my 'big' ideas and for braving the elements for six freezing hours. If you are a bride from Toronto but enjoy the beauty of Muskoka, hopefully our ideas will inspire brides planning a winter wedding to think outside the box when it come to flowers and decor.

Burberry Inspired Decor & Flowers...Winter Wedding Ideas
Thinking of a winter wedding but don't want the typical white winter scene for flowers and decor? Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design joined forces with Purple Martini Photography to create a style shoot to give our winter brides some fresh new ideas with a vintage twist! Who doesn't love a warm fuzzy burberry scarf? Its a classic for a ladies winter wardrobe! A special thanks firstly to the insanely talented photographer,Dee, from Purple Martini. Also to Paper Damsels for fabulous stationary, to Noah Brown Bridal for gorgeous dresses and hair pieces as well as my son Caleb, our team and Jessy for putting up with another one of my crazy ideas! Also thank you Courtney for the sweet cake to Noten Acres for 'loaning' their beautiful property. Of course thank you also to Shelby. You rocked this one with your gorgeous blue eyes.
Hopefully we inspired brides who are planning a winter wedding to think outside the box. Western Wedding Decor & Flowers Like You Have Never Seen Before.. Matt & Tam Are Gettin' Hitched!
Now its not to often that we have the opportunity to design flowers and decor for a western wedding but most that know me, know right well I'm no city girl! Oh sure, I'll have to admit to enjoying Toronto shopping now and again, but the facts are, that since most of my working days are spent fighting traffic to get to our next wedding, on my days off, I'd rather be racing my pretty mare 'Rica' around three barrels at the county fair! ( or watching my boys do it a whole lot better then me!) With this in mind, I was over the moon when our good friends Matt, a World Champion Steer Wrestler, and Tamaran, an Ontario Rodeo Champion Barrel Racer acquired our wedding design services for their upcoming 2011 June wedding! Watch for their fabulous tent wedding on Tamaron's beautiful family farm in Hillsburgh, just north of Toronto, and trust me, I'm pretty confident we are going to take 'Western Chic' to a whole new level!
