Stylish Winter Wedding Ideas... Muskoka Inspired Flowers And Decor! {Toronto Muskoka Wedding Decor}

Now I know spring is just around the corner and its fair to say that the Canadian winter is not the most comfortable time to plan a Winter Wedding Stlye shoot but what better time to inspire brides with winter inspired decor and flowers! As the snow fell, on a farm just north of Toronto, the design team at Rachel A. Clingen created this fabulous winter wedding style shoot.  The very talented and sweet Dee from Purple Martini Photography embraced our ideas (and the cold) and captured the essence of winter with these incredible images. The beauty of birch logs catch your eye in the plexi glass stands, hinting a Muskoka feel.  The warmth of cotton is a winter tradition so we decided to reflect this in the flowers and decor. The brides bouquet had soft cotton ball accents with white peonies, stock, and ranunculus flowers, finished with a band of silver birch bark. Whimsical cotton branch centrepieces alongside white mum flowers,  gave warmth to the chic plexiglass head table . Crystal snowflake accents and chrome lanterns all add to the icy look decor. Special thanks to our models Caleb and the very beautiful Hailey.  Paper Damsels did a fabulous job on coordinating stationary and totally captured my vision. Thank you also to Noah Brown for the brides dress and birdcage veil.   A very special thank you to our crew who laboured tirelessly in the bitter cold and Jessy my right hand manager and friend for supporting another one of my 'big' ideas and for braving the elements for six freezing hours. If you are a bride from Toronto but enjoy the beauty of Muskoka, hopefully our ideas will inspire brides planning a winter wedding to think outside the box when it come to flowers and decor.

Burberry Inspired Decor & Flowers...Winter Wedding Ideas

Thinking of a winter wedding but don't want the typical white winter scene for flowers and decor? Rachel A. Clingen Wedding & Event Design joined forces with Purple Martini Photography to create a style shoot to give our  winter brides some fresh new ideas with a vintage twist!  Who doesn't love a warm fuzzy burberry scarf? Its a classic for a ladies winter wardrobe! A special thanks firstly to the insanely talented photographer,Dee, from Purple Martini. Also to Paper Damsels for fabulous stationary, to Noah Brown Bridal for gorgeous dresses and hair pieces as well as my son Caleb, our team and Jessy for putting up with another one of my crazy ideas! Also thank you Courtney for the sweet cake to Noten Acres for 'loaning' their beautiful property. Of course thank you also to Shelby. You rocked this one with your gorgeous blue eyes.
Hopefully we inspired brides who are planning a winter wedding to think outside the box. Birch bark pillar candles, an old blackened kettle and a burberry scarf all helped with the vintage feel decor. Red orchid flowers were the splash of colour and hanging votives all made for perfect wedding decor from days gone past!

Tiffany Wedding Decor & Flowers.. Bling, Beauty, Be Inspired!

Somehow I knew that flowers accompanied by beautiful bling would make for some fabulous decor!  Our 'Tiffany' inspired style shoot  captures all that girls love, pearls, crystals and a blue box with a white ribbon! Mclean Sherwood provided all the dishes, cutlery, stemware and chairs. The amazing Paper Damsels created the beautiful stationary and the very talented Purple Martini Photography captured the details! Our new 'Tiffany' blue linen was my inspiration board for the photo shoot. White flowers, blue boxes, and lots of bling decor pieces make for beautiful decor!

Western Wedding Decor & Flowers Like You Have Never Seen Before.. Matt & Tam Are Gettin' Hitched!

Now its not to often that we have the opportunity to design flowers and decor for a western wedding but most that know me, know right well I'm no city girl!   Oh sure, I'll have to admit to enjoying Toronto shopping now and again, but the facts are, that since most of my working days are spent fighting traffic to get to our next wedding,  on my days off, I'd rather be racing my pretty mare 'Rica' around three barrels at the county fair! ( or watching my boys do it a whole lot better then me!) With this in mind, I was over the moon when our good friends Matt, a World Champion Steer Wrestler, and Tamaran, an Ontario Rodeo Champion Barrel Racer acquired our wedding design services for their upcoming 2011 June wedding! Watch for their fabulous tent wedding on Tamaron's beautiful family farm in Hillsburgh, just north of Toronto, and trust me, I'm pretty confident we are going to take 'Western Chic' to a whole new level!

We Are Very Proud Of Our Draping Department.. Proud Supplier Of The G8 And G20 Events In Toronto And Muskoka

We finally received some pictures of our spectacular draping decor for the G8 and G20 Summits held in Toronto and Muskoka. It was of course an honour to be selected as the supplier of choice for all the draping design for both events. While we have had the opportunity to work on some impressive high profile events in the past, working on this project came with its expected challenges. Preparations started months before the event with multiple lengthy, and thorough security screenings for each staff member. Logistically, certain protocol had to be followed for the execution of all the decor. This event was a rewarding experience... To knowingly have a hand in the decor that surrounded the leaders of our world was to say the least, a thrilling experience for which we are very thankful! Now take a minute and see if you can find some pretty important decision makers in the pictures!

It Might Not Be A Wedding, But This Event Decor Was All Cowboy Chic!

Whether it is for a wedding or an event, decor plays an important role in setting the overall vibe and atmosphere. Rachel A. Clingen Wedding And Event Design had the exciting opportunity to decorate and create the mood for the Ontario Barrel Racing Association's annual banquet/awards dinner held in Woodstock just west of Toronto. The corporate colours for the organization are red and black so the colour choice for the evening decor was an easy decision. After consulting with some of the directors of the organization (ok, I will admit that I am 'pretty good' friends with the President..lol), Rachel chose a very 'chic' look for the decor rather then the typical western motif. Cowboys and Cowgirls from all over Ontario came in there best duds and enjoyed an evening together with scrumptious food great entertainment and fabulous decor!

Warm Winter Wedding At Bond Head.. Amaryllis Flowers, Birch Decor And Lots Of Pink!

Jen and Wes chose the beautiful Bond Head Golf Club just north of Toronto to host their winter wedding. Rachel A. Clingen Wedding and Event Design created a warm, intimate yet sophisticated setting with pink amaryllis flowers and birch limbs. Large cylinder vases lined the petal strew aisle while white draping was the backdrop for both the ceremony and reception.
Congrats Wes and Jen. Thanks Jen for appreciating great flowers and great decor, and for loving 'pink' as much as we do!
